We provide a service which allows our phone lines to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We call this the "Hotline". When someone calls they will hear "Alcoholics Anonymous answering service." Then they will be put thru to an alcoholic who is on the phone line. If that person is on another call, the answering service will contact another person on the backup list. That insures each person who calls in will receive help. Our phone volunteers receive calls at their home and their anonymity is respected.
Our objective is to have the 'voice' of AA available at all times to anyone who reaches out for help. Everyone that signs up for this service position is sent a packet of information with everything they will need.
